Versie 2.4 van ttMaps is vandaag gereed gezet en bevat de volgende aanpassingen:
Nieuwe iconen en startscherm
- NP's zoeken op naam
- Tracks en routes zoeken op naam
- Gemiddelde positieberekening voor nauwkeuriger opslaan NP-posities
- Knop om systeem uit te schakelen (werkt niet met navcore 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4)
- Zoeksnelheid voor plaatsen en postcodes is verbeterd met een factor 20
- Op het virtuele toetsenbord is nu te zien dat een knop is ingedrukt (donkere achtergrond)
- Na het stoppen van een track-opname is het mogelijk de track te verwijderen of te hernoemen
- Toevoegen van NP's vanaf de kaart
- Weergeven van track-informatie (lengte, stijging, daling)
- Instellen van schermhelderheid
- Laadstatus van de batterij
- Verschuiven van de kaart (in geval de kaartcalibratie niet goed gedaan blijkt te zijn)
- Weergeven van hoogte boven de geoïde, in plaats van boven de ellipsoïde, op het GPS-statusscherm
- Coördinaten van plaatsen in Zwitserland
- Coördinaten en postcodes van plaatsen in Australië

Binnenkort zal versie 0.6 van ttMaps verschijnen. Nieuw hierin:
1. The main new feature is the ability to automatically rotate the map in the direction of travel.
In the "Preferences" menu, "Display Preferences", "Map Orientation", you can choose between four options:
- No Rotation
- Track Up
- North Up
- West Up
The first option corresponds to the current operation: the map is displayed as it was created.
In the second option, the map is rotating continuously in the direction of travel.
In the last two options, the map is rotated so that the north (or west) of the map is at the top of the screen.
When one of the last three options is selected, I have not noticed any significant slowdown in the display. But changing map or zoom level is significantly slower. This is normal, because due to the rotation of the map, the size of the area that must be read from ECW files is no longer equal to the screen, but a square with sides equal to the diagonal of the screen. The surface is more than doubled.
Moving the map with your finger is slightly slower too.
Note: The map turns automatically when speed exceeds 3 km/h. This threshold can be changed by editing ttmaps.conf. Other parameters have also been added:
rotationminspeed = 3.0 (minimum speed at which the map is turning) cursorminspeed = 3.0 (minimum speed at which the cursor appears) gpszhysteresis = 20.0 (hysteresis used in the calculation of ascents from GPS altitude) demzhysteresis = 2.0 (hysteresis used in the calculation of ascents from DEM altitude)
